Going Solo: Creator Journalist Workshop (By Application)

Designed for journalists who are actively considering moving from a traditional setting to full-time creator journalism, this high-level workshop led by Ryan Kellett, Liz Kelly Nelson, Caitlin Dewey and Blair Hickman will provide attendees with a clear plan of action on when and how they might go solo on Substack, YouTube, etc. Attendees should be mid-career journalists with an existing portfolio of work and/or a strong individual following.

Navigation tip: The Embassy Rooms are in the International Tower and can be accessed through the Hyatt Lobby Level International Tower or from LL3.

• From the Lobby Level: When you are facing the hotel registration desks, walk towards the right, past the gift/convenience store until you see the elevators on your right. The escalators will be past the elevators. You will go down two levels.


• From LL3: Walk to the right side of this level (if facing away from the elevators/escalators and towards the central foyer area). You will go around the corner past the Canva Studio in Piedmont all the way down until you see the escalators and elevators. Go up one level.


• You cannot access the International Tower if you are on LL1 or LL2.
