Kwame Opam is the Deputy Managing Editor for News at the Chicago Sun-Times, where he helps oversee daily news coverage for the web and print. He has worked across the industry in a variety of roles, including reporter, editor, producer and newsroom leader. Before joining the Sun-Times, he was the Strategy and Operations Deputy for the breaking news teams at The New York Times. Before that, he ran the digital team at "The Problem with Jon Stewart" and was a news editor at The Verge. He currently lives in Chicago with his wife, son and cat.
