How do you build an AI-driven course from scratch? How do you incorporate AI into your existing classes? In this session we'll review policies for syllabuses and student media, brainstorm ideas for building an AI journalism course and tools to help get you started. We'll also discuss how to detect AI in writing (both visually and with software) and how to handle those situations. Bring a laptop as this is a hands-on session. Participants will get handouts, sample syllabuses and training videos that you can use in and outside of your classes.
This session requires ONA24 registration and advance sign-up through the RSVP process. Registered attendees can sign up using their personalized account link found in your registration confirmation email sent by registration@journalists.org. More information about the RSVP process can be found in our FAQs.
