Gillian Van Stratt is the Director of Audience for MLive.com, the largest and most read news site in Michigan that also includes eight newspapers across the state. She leads the social media team, the photo and video department and oversees strategy for newsletters and podcasts. Gillian spent her early career as a sports reporter, photographer and videographer covering college football and basketball. In her almost two decades in journalism, she has won multiple Michigan EMMY awards for short-form documentaries and has directed a feature length documentary. She is a squirrel advocate.
